Cedar Commons, located in Portland’s Powellhurst-Gilbert District, is an affordable housing development built on 1.07 acres and delivered by the WALSH team three weeks ahead of schedule. The building houses 40 single-room occupancy units and 20 studios, as well as community rooms, laundry space, a leasing office and support space. Totalling 60 units, forty are dedicated Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) and ten units serve people living with severe mental illness (SMI). It’s also the first development to offer clinical services and support for residents facing more unique and complex mental health conditions, with an on-site team of two Qualified Mental Health Professionals, a Peer Support Specialist, and a Case Manager, all specializing in trauma-informed care.

The building acheived Earth Advantage Multifamily Platinum Level Certification.
