The 87,000 square-foot Lam Bow Apartments redevelopment in West Seattle’s Delridge neighborhood will include 82 one, two, and three-bedroom affordable (income-restricted up to 60% of area median income) housing units, a community space, and 65 parking spaces upon completion in early 2023. This will be a replacement to the original building that was demolished due to fire damage and will offer residents an additional 30 family-sized units, 80 on-site parking spaces, additional sidewalks and safe, family-oriented outdoor amenities for resident gatherings. Built to mitigate poor soil conditions on-site, the project’s foundation is noteworthy—with 155 auger-cast piles under-grade beams with a structural slab on grade.
