Bob Walsh honored with 2014 Bridge Builder Award by Bridge Meadows

On May 8th, 2014, Bob Walsh, Managing Partner of Walsh Construction Co. and Thidwick Partners was named as the 2014 recipient of the Bridge Meadows Bridge Builder Award endowed by Boly:Welch.

Bridge Meadows is a multi-generational housing community serving Oregon’s foster youth, adoptive parents and elders. The mission of the organization is to offer permanency in the lives of foster children by providing adoptive homes, supporting those adoptive parents with resources and guidance and giving elders meaning and purpose in their daily lives.

The Bridge Builder award was created to recognize ordinary people doing extraordinary things in our local community, of which Bob Walsh is most certainly one.   Bob has served as the honorary chair of the Bridge Meadows capital campaign. Through his fundraising efforts with non-profit organizations such as Mercy Corps International and his commitment to sustainable building practices, Bob Walsh is an example of how one person can manifest opportunity and support for those members of his community who present the greatest need. Additionally, his commitment to the community translates to his employees as Walsh employees in Portland and Seattle have volunteered for a total or 39 nonprofits.

As corporate sponsor for this recognition, the Boly:Welch team would welcome you as our guest at the MAC club for this fundraising lunch on May 8th. We want to thank Bob for his extraordinary ability to mobilize resources in support of foster children, adoptive parents and elders who come together with a sense of community and purpose.
