PGE Seismic Retrofit of their Oak Grove Power Plant

WALSH is currently working with Portland General Electric on a seismic retrofit of their Oak Grove Power plant outside of Estacada. The project involves adding structural concrete shear walls to both ends of the concrete power plant. The entire south wall will be removed and reconstructed. The north end receives a one-sided concrete wall added onto the inside face. The existing roof will be removed and replaced, with seismic structural FRP shear panels adhered to the existing concrete deck. The plant will remain fully operational with turbines running while the work is completed. Much of the work is being performed by our RDF crews!
