It was so uplifting to attend Central City Concern’s “We Are Family” 2017 annual event to celebrate and support Letty Owings Center and Family Housing program! More than 300 community members showed up to support families in recovery working hard to create more stable, healthier futures for themselves. Thanks to Central City Concern for all they do for our community and for a special evening!

Presentations for the Walsh Construction Co. & Portland Building Enclosure Council examination of Orchards at Orenco.
Walsh Construction Co and the Portland Building Enclosure Council hosted an examination of Orchards at Orenco on Monday, April 3rd. The design of the project was discussed, specifically examining the enclosure and mechanical systems that helped us to achieve Passive House Certification. The project’s outstanding measured energy performance was presented, with a breakdown of energy consumption and a comparison to the modeled energy performance. Finally, they discussed the hygrothermal performance of the exterior wall assembly, which has been monitored by RDH since the building first opened to tenants in 2015.

Abbey Lincoln Court was selected as a winning entry in the 2017 Build Washington Awards. The project took top prize in the Public Building $5-20M category for innovation, expertise, quality, and safety.
OWCB Breaks Ground on Asian Health and Service Center
Asian Health & Service Center broke ground this past Saturday! Official groundbreaking ceremony was held at 9035 SE Foster Rd starting at 10am. Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler was in attendance and to celebrate this exciting moment for the Lents community.
OSU-Cascades Receives Innovator Award for Best New Development!

Thanks to all who joined us to experience how REACH is addressing the housing crisis through Cost Efficient Design and Construction! Guests had the opportunity to meet the design team from Walsh Construction Co. and Ankrom Moisan Architects, Inc. and tour our full-scale mockup apartment. This innovative model for new REACH apartments will help us reduce costs and build more units.
First Student Housing Project for Bellevue College
It is a beautiful site at the New Student Housing project under construction for Bellevue College with NAC Architecture! This couldn’t come at a better time for Bellevue College, which is embarking on its transition from a primarily commuter campus to a flourishing, multicultural residential college. The result will be an inclusive student community scheduled to open mid-2018. The K-3 Modular Classrooms in Mt. Vernon are going up like lightning! We’re excited to be working with Washington State Department of Enterprise Services and Mahlum on this fast-paced and innovative project built with Cross Laminated Timber (CLT). Link to the video!
