Energy Trust of Oregon Highlights Westmoreland Senior Housing Retrofit

Thanks to Energy Trust of Oregon for highlighting Westmoreland Union Manor Senior Housing’s Rehabilitation and Energy Retrofit in its Allies for Efficiency course, eligible for AIA credit! It was an excellent turnout and conversation with presenters Brian Sweeney of Housing Development Center, Bill Lanning of M W A Architects, Andrew Lasse of Interface Engineering and our own Howie Petker!

This course covered how the owner, developer, MWA Architects, Interface Engineering and WALSH have worked together to accomplish this major ongoing renovation while minimizing disruptions for tenants. It also included a summary of the expected energy savings and the project’s incremental and associated financing costs. The presentation was followed by a building tour looking behind the scenes into the construction process.

Partnering with Transitions Projects Since 2009

Thank you to the WALSH team for hosting another successful dinner at Bud Clark Commons for Transition Projects, Inc. WALSH has hosted quarterly dinners at TPI since 2009 and we’ve learned a lot over the years! The home-made “Breakfast for Dinner” idea was such a hit that we even received a lovely thank you from a TPI participant through our website. “Thank you all for a fantastic dinner. Feb 1. 2017. “Breakfast for Dinner” at Transition Projects was delicious. Your crew did a wonderful job. The omelet was world class. THANKS AGAIN !!!” Thanks to TPI for the work they do for our greater community and the participants for a fun evening.
