Lake City Family Housing for LIHI will Include Classroom and Solar!

The site of old Fire Station 39 is looking great! We are wrapping up the framing on Lake City Family Housing for LIHI and will soon begin installation of the building envelope. The six-story project will support local families with 70 affordable apartments and a preschool managed by Refugee Women’s Alliance (ReWA). Runberg’s design features a 6,600 SF classroom with a playful and colorful façade, and capacity for 80 students. Special features include a rooftop deck, gardens, and solar array.

Our hardworking WALSH and RDF crews are led by Greg Linnell, Nathan Connaway, Tanner Romo, BJ Graham and Wendy Kato at the helm; and trade superintendents Jeremy Winter, Ryan Mertes, Justin Nieto, Tom Koviak, Jeromy Wood and Shannon Morey.

Many thanks to Tanner for the progress photo!
