Pleasant Avenue Apartments which will bring permanent affordable housing to the veterans community!

We are so excited to be a part of the Pleasant Avenue Apartments which will bring permanent affordable housing to the veterans community! The project will provide 24-units of housing serving chronically homeless and severely low-income veterans and their families.

Huge THANKS to the WALSH Team of Brandi Pine, Jay Nees, Bryan Ware and Caitlin B. Kelley for their dedicated work building this community-centered project! Pleasant Avenue is being constructed using Cost-Efficient Design and Construction methods (CEDC) developed by our own Director of Innovation Mike Steffen! For over 58 years WALSH has built more than 30,000 units of affordable housing. Each of those units is still standing today and serving as affordable housing. We have learned a few things about how to help design and then build affordable housing in the most cost-efficient manner. We believe that cost-efficiency – when pursued by project teams in a highly disciplined manner – creates an opportunity to incorporate a host of value-adding measures and amenities into projects, providing a path towards truly high-performance affordable housing. Our own Cost-Efficient Design and Construction.

Located in the heart of Oregon City, directly between HACC and Clackamas County Veteran Services offices, the project is being built for Northwest Housing Alternatives, designed by KASA Architects Inc. and will be handed over to the Housing Authority of Clackamas County (HACC) upon completion. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2019.
