Brian Ames Promoted to Superintendent

WALSH is pleased to announce the promotion of Brian Ames from Project Engineer to Superintendent!

With over 11 years of experience in construction, working from the owner’s side at Boeing for 9 of those years, Brian began his career at WALSH in 2017 and began working immediately with the team on the Blackburn Building for Central City Concern.

The Blackburn Building is an innovative approach to integrating affordable housing and health services. The six-story, 150,000SF development will include a 40,000 SF integrated health clinic and 51 units of respite-care transitional housing which will allow people to discharge out of a hospital into a safe setting to recover more completely and receive intensive case management to solve the problem of lack of medical care and housing. Above that will be 80 units of affordable, transitional housing for people overcoming substance abuse and 34 units of permanent housing. Upon completion, the Blackburn Building will serve about 3,000 patients annually and actively integrate the services that the individuals need.

Brian has a lifetime passion for the built environment and on improving the city which he grew up in and loves. He loves being in construction for the people and trade partners we work with, the daily satisfaction of seeing tangible progress and for the challenge of making quick and informed decisions. Outside of working with his WALSH Family, he enjoys golfing, clamming, running, winning his fantasy football league (!!) and adventuring with his wife and three sons!

Please welcome us in congratulating Brian on his promotion and for continued success!
