Dropbox Derby Raises $5,000 for Raphael House

Our WALSH team of Aaron Stevens, Adam Klauba, Jacob Avery and Maren Sinclair had so much fun spending Labor Day participating and witnessing all of the amazing creations completed within the four hour deadline. Thank you to everyone at Lovett Deconstruction for their 3rd Annual Dropbox Derby 2019, a design/build challenge completed in four hours using salvaged materials to raise money for a local nonprofit! This year Lovett selected Raphael House of Portland – a non-profit whose mission is to engage our entire community in non-violent living while providing a safe haven from domestic violence.

Such inspiring craft by all involved! The WALSH team wanted to challenge themselves with “walking the talk” of sustainability by using only hand tools, biking to the event or using mass transit and eating ecologically conscious foods (thanks to Adam’s wife Julie!). The whole day was a huge success. All items are auctioned off at the end of the event which raised $4,600 for Raphael House!
