ROSE CDC Woody Guthrie Affordable Housing Receives LEED PLATINUM !

Congratulations to ROSE Community Development on their dedication to sustainability and affordability. The Woody Guthrie Place Affordable Apartments recently EXCEEDED its sustainability goals to achieve LEED PLATINUM.

Originally slated to achieve LEED Gold, we want to extend a huge thanks to ROSE, Carleton Hart Architecture PC and the WALSH team of Kent Usher, Forrest Gonzales, Vic Lundmark and Linda Woolery for their dedicated efforts to this project. Thanks for all your hard work and diligence in managing this challenging and complex project, the substantial number of details and seeing it through all the way to the very end.

The four-story building, named for the famous Depression-era folksinger who once lived two blocks away from the site in the Lents neighborhood, offers a community room, rooftop patio, outdoor play space, car and bike parking, ADA accessible units, solar rooftop panels and electric car charging stations.

It is exciting to share in this moment with project partners including, Prosper PortlandPortland Housing BureauMetro, Multnomah County Health Department, Multnomah County Oregon and Home Forward!

ROSE provides more than 465 families with a safe, affordable place to live. Most are seniors, single moms and people of color, all of whom are on limited incomes. We are thankful for their dedicated efforts in our community.
