PAE Living Building Breaks Ground!

As we begin our virtual celebrations of the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day with many of you, we reflect on our role and responsibilities with stewardship in the A/E/C industry. Our resourceful people are driven to innovate and conserve and it is exciting when these skill-sets are challenged and aligned with project teams to be a part of building exceptional projects. We are so thrilled to be breaking ground on the PAE Living Building with ZGF Architects, Gerding Edlen, PAE and KPFF Consulting Engineers.

Designed to last 500 years, the new 58,000 SF mixed-use project will be Portland’s first certified Living Building and Oregon’s largest Living Building. This innovative project is a critical step forward in ensuring quality of life and meeting the city’s goal of 100 percent renewable energy by 2050. All of the building’s water and energy needs will be produced via rainwater capture, and the onsite and offsite solar arrays! We look forward to working with all project partners as we strive to ensure continued quality of life in the Pacific Northwest. hashtagpaelivingbuilding hashtaglivingbuilding hashtagwalshbuildsgreen hashtagearthmonth hashtagearthdayathome https://lnkd.in/e8f9XF7
