It was a fun, family-filled event building community garden boxes for the future residents of the Cedar Commons community in southeast Portland. Teams from Central City Concern, Related Companies, Ankrom Moisan, GLI Advisors, City of Portland and Walsh Construction Co. volunteered their Saturday to build ten community garden boxes and even started the planting!
Huge thanks to our WALSH team for organizing the event — Meghan Herteg, Julie Cusumano, Blake Flury, Nolan Knox and Linda Woolery! Cedar Commons will offer deeply affordable housing combined with comprehensive, wraparound services to our most vulnerable neighbors and comes at a critical time in our region, when it’s needed now more than ever.
