For the second time this month, WALSH hosted Governor Jay Inslee at one of our projects. Friday morning, he visited our Cedar Crossing project, a 250-unit mixed project that represents a public-private partnership between Bellwether HousingMercy Housing NW and Sound Transit. The project will set aside housing for children with high medical needs and their families through a partnership with Seattle Children’s /Mary’s Place. It will also offer housing to veterans and their families as well as to senior veterans. A public plaza, child care center and ground-floor retail will provide services for transit riders and the broader neighborhood.  The project is immediately adjacent to the Roosevelt Light Rail Station which is due to open in late 2021.

Huge thanks to VIA Architecture for their collaboration and to the Walsh team of John GilsonJoe GrimRyan VoightTanner Romo, Nick Huylar, Cody Erickson, Ryan Gidley, Brian Lenz, Stacy Mulholland and our Summer Intern Quinn Steffens for their incredible efforts on this community project.
