After many years of community visioning by the Ethiopian Community of Seattle (ECS) and long-time Walsh client HumanGood, we are excited to break ground on the Ethiopian Village project in southeast Seattle! This project will provide 90 affordable senior apartments and a renovated community gathering space to ECS and HumanGood, who are co-owners of the project. Expected completion in December 2022.
Photos are from a joyous groundbreaking event held in July that commemorated the hard work of numerous members of the Ethiopian and Rainier Beach community to bring this project to fruition.
