Recent Renovations to Compass Housing Alliance’s Shelter Spaces to Help Prevent COVID Transmission

WALSH is proud to support Compass Housing Alliance’s 100-year anniversary happening this spring and culminating in a celebration on May 16th. It is also gratifying to read about the positive impact to Compass clients that resulted from the recent renovations to their shelter spaces in Seattle to help prevent COVID transmission.

Congratulations to our flexible, capable team who hopped in to action very quickly on this project which included 4 different shelter locations in total: Mike Bang (Sr PM), Angella Hould (PM), John Lennox (PM), Dwain Mountford (SUPT), BJ Graham (ASST SUPT), Spencer Dailey (PE) and Karen Moon (PA).

Nick has been with WALSH since 2013, working his way up through the field from Project Engineer to Assistant Superintendent and now Superintendent. He was an instrumental part of the team at our 11-story Couch 9 Luxury Apartments, the Pacific University Cascade Hall student housing project and one of our most complex projects – the 12-story, 240-unit Louisa Flowers affordable housing project – which was completed on time and on budget.

Meyer Memorial Trust Headquarters has Received Oregon’s Rirst PLATINUM LEED v4 New Construction Certification!

We are thrilled to announce that the Meyer Memorial Trust Headquarters has received Oregon’s first PLATINUM LEED v4 New Construction Certification! Some highlights of the deeply sustainable features of the building include: anticipated 66% energy cost savings, anticipated 59,392 gallons of water saved annually, 53 kW Solar Photovoltaic Array is anticipated to produce 61,321 kWh annually, comprehensive commissioning of the building envelope and building MEP systems AND 83% (855 tons) of the total construction waste from the project site was diverted from the landfill !
