Orchards at Orenco: Largest Passive House Affordable Multi-Family Project
REACH Community Development continues its affordable home-building program with the launch of its Orchards at Orenco project this month at Hillsboro’s Orenco Station.
REACH, a nonprofit with nearly 1,900 units of affordable housing, is beginning construction of the 57-unit first phase of Orchards at Orenco, a three-building complex that will eventually provide about 150 units affordable housing.]

Solid Ground Celebrates Additional Housing at Sand Point Campus
Walsh Construction Co. was honored to work with Seattle nonprofit developer Solid Ground on the successful completion of their new housing at the Sand Point Housing Campus. On Wednesday, May 21st, community leaders and supporters gathered at Solid Ground’s Sand Point campus to dedicate their two newest buildings of 175 units of housing for formerly homeless people and to celebrate 40+ years of action, innovation, and partnership in King County.

Success With Easton Ridge Resident Job Training Program
Julie (left) and Eduardo (right) worked on the Easton Ridge Redevelopment Project in Happy Valley. Walsh Construction Co., in partnership with the Clackamas County Housing Authority and Community Solutions for Clackamas County, hired 13 low-income residents for this job training program. Participants were referred to the program and are receiving valuable on-the-job training in the construction industry that will lead to regular long-term employment. Five of the participants have already been hired in the industry full-time.
