Dropbox Derby Raises $5,000 for Raphael House

Our WALSH team of Aaron Stevens, Adam Klauba, Jacob Avery and Maren Sinclair had so much fun spending Labor Day participating and witnessing all of the amazing creations completed within the four hour deadline. Thank you to everyone at Lovett Deconstruction for their 3rd Annual Dropbox Derby 2019, a design/build challenge completed in four hours using salvaged materials to raise money for a local nonprofit! This year Lovett selected Raphael House of Portland – a non-profit whose mission is to engage our entire community in non-violent living while providing a safe haven from domestic violence.

WALSH Built to Run in Hood To Coast

Thanks to everyone for making this year’s Hood to Coast a HUGE success! WALSH Built to Run and Team Hammerheads had a blast running the 200 miles from Mt. Hood to Seaside in 28 hours and 40 minutes.

Thanks to our volunteers Ryan Wilde, Ali LaManna and Sarah Clark and runners Alek Hoffman, Adrian Smith, Anthony Meier, Bennett Barnwell, Lyle Rinearson, Jake LaManna, Brandon Fassiotto, Tucker Bufton, Liza Holtz and to Kim Smith for running and being an awesome Team Captain!

Volunteering at Kairos School

The start of school is right around the corner! We had fun working with Kairospdx building furniture for the start of the new year. Thank you to the Walsh Construction Co. team of Afton WalshSheri VachterMaren Sinclair and Tim Boivin for volunteering their time! Kairos is a non-profit organization focused on delivering excellent, equitable education to underserved children, their families and their communities. Through innovative pedagogy, community collaboration and family partnership they are closing Portland’s persistent achievement gap in measurable, sustainable ways. Their mission is to eliminate the prolific racial achievement and opportunity gaps by cultivating confident, creative, compassionate, leaders who exceed expectations at each milestone ages 0-10.

Brian Ames Promoted to Superintendent

Sky Lakes Medical Center Golf Fundraiser

Thank you to our Oregon General Manager Ryan Wilde, Kathryn Kelley, Maren Sinclair and the Sky Lakes Collaborative Health Center project team of Chuck Moore, Matt Godt, Pete Bruns, John Hardesty and Beverly Culp for supporting the Sky Lakes Medical Center Golf Tournament this past weekend! This fun and friendly tournament raised money for the Sky Lakes Pediatrics Department for upgrades to the visitor experience, making child patients and their families feel more comfortable during their stay.
