What an incredible project and team! The PAE Living Building team has not missed a beat despite the pandemic, wildfires, ice storms and the recent heat wave. This incredibly innovative International Living Future Institute Living Building project, which is taking sustainability and earthquake resilience to new heights, is set to meet completion and budget goals with a September opening. We would love to thank our WALSH management team of Ed Sloop, Kent Usher, Adam Klauba and Linda Woolery and the incredible onsite team who have worked diligently through it all led by superintendent Kyle Heckaman with Sam Sullivan, Steffen Schulz and so many more.
Sneak peek! We’re in the final punchlist phase of the Capital Campus Child Care Center project for the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services. This beautiful building includes locally sourced Cross-Laminated Timber and numerous other nature-inspired elements – both indoors and in the outdoor play spaces – to reflect the Olympia landscape.
WALSH is excited to have been selected to build the Seattle Housing Authority’s Lam Bow Apartments in West Seattle. This project will re-establish our partnership with SHA and support their goal to build 80 new apartments along a transit corridor in the West Seattle neighborhood. We are proud to be part of this transformative project which is replacing an SHA building which was demolished after a major fire five years ago.
We are thrilled to announce the promotion of Courtney Mitchell to Assistant Superintendent! Courtney joined WALSH in 2019 as a Project Engineer and came to us with a career in construction out of Chicago with significant experience in the management of complex occupied construction renovations and healthcare construction.
We would love to congratulate Meyer Memorial Trust as an Honoree of the DJC Building Diversity Awards, a program to recognize, celebrate and examine diversity, equity and inclusion within the local building industry and environment. The recent construction of their Headquarters has been guided by Meyer’s core mission to build an equitable and flourishing Oregon with an unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability.
The scaffolding is down and the beautiful exterior siding is revealed at LIHI’s George Fleming Apartments in south Seattle. The project team is in the home stretch of interior finishes and looks forward to celebrating project completion this fall.
The Portland office is excited to share that we have hired a new Project Engineer – Ronnie Rust! Currently, he is working with the team on the Riverplace Phase 2 project, which is the second building in a new development by BRIDGE Housing Corporation that will bring 176 much-needed new affordable housing units to the South Waterfront area.
